To avoid wasting energy and memory on multiple identical shots, you can choose preset intervals between triggered photos from 1 second to 1 hour. The camera can take up to eight photos in Multi-Shot or Rapid Fire mode. Time-Lapse mode takes photos at preset intervals throughout the day, and Browning's Buck Watch Time-Lapse Viewer software, available for download, assembles the photos into a short video so you can review the day's activity in a few minutes. (The camera continues to take motion-triggered photos in Time-Lapse mode.) You can review your photos and video footage in the field on the camera's 2 "color screen. The Spec Ops Edge is equipped with of a battery power indicator that works with alkaline and lithium batteries, avoiding surprises in the field. It works on eight AA batteries and can also be powered via its external 12V power socket. Photos and videos are recorded on a user-supplied SDXC up to 512 GB.
